In this role you will deliver high-quality electrical building services designs within multidisciplinary teams for the Built Environment. Responsibilities

  • Produce electrical building services designs aligned with client requirements and standards
  • Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications, reports and technical documentation
  • Design systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and security
  • Coordinate with mechanical, structural and architectural disciplines
  • Undertake site surveys, inspections and technical assessments
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers and stakeholders
  • Identify and manage engineering risks and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Deliver projects within quality, time, and budget objectives
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and engineering best practice
  • Senior/Principal: lead technical delivery on multidisciplinary projects; review/approve designs and mentor juniors
  • Senior/Principal: build client relationships and support business development

Key requirements

  • Experience as an Electrical Building Services Design Engineer or similar consultancy environment
  • Experience designing electrical building services systems
  • Experience producing electrical calculations, specifications, reports and design documents
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Revit and BIM methodologies
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience undertaking site surveys and technical assessments
  • Knowledge of Building Regulations, British Standards and CDM
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
