Overview

In this role you will lead the Controllership for Consulting UK, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls. You will manage month-end close, acquisitions integration, and provide analysis to support business decisions within a matrixed organization. You’ll oversee GAAP and regulatory reporting, engage with external auditors, and develop the team. This is a strategic leadership position that shapes financial governance and performance across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate month-end close for Consulting UK and oversee project-related accounting activities
  • Lead preparation of all financial reporting under US GAAP and local statutory requirements
  • Provide analytical support to accounting judgments and business decisions; assist with new accounting standards
  • Manage stakeholders (FP&A, operations) and communicate policy or process changes and impacts
  • Oversee external auditor relationships, audit timetable, deliverables, and management representations
  • Ensure SOX compliance and timely remediation of control issues; maintain robust control environment
  • Review Balance Sheet quarterly; approve judgements on provisions (WIP, VAT, employee liabilities)
  • Mentor and develop the team; drive wider team initiatives
  • Support due diligence, acquisition integration, system implementations, and capital expenditure assessments
  • Contribute to global/regional strategies and governance across entities

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or similar discipline
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA preferred; ACCA or ACMA)
  • Significant controllership experience with leadership responsibilities in a large matrixed organization
  • Experience with fiduciary management / OCIO / investment consulting (highly preferred)
  • Ability to lead change in a transforming, acquisitive, matrixed organization
  • Ability to streamline financial activities and standardize procedures
  • Understanding of Oracle Financials: GL and Hyperion Essbase
