OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Web Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications and websites. You will work across various projects, employing modern technologies and frameworks to deliver responsive, user-friendly, and efficient digital solutions. Duties

• Build robust back-end systems utilizing frameworks like Django, Spring Framework, ASP.NET, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, and PHP to ensure seamless data processing and integration.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and web services using GraphQL, SOAP, and other protocols to facilitate communication between systems.
• Manage databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Microsoft SQL Server, SQLite, and Redis; optimise queries for performance and scalability.
• Utilise version control systems such as Git and GitHub; employ CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Azure DevOps for continuous integration and deployment.
• Implement containerisation with Docker and orchestration tools like Ansible to streamline development workflows.
• Apply UX/UI principles through wireframing and web design best practices to enhance user experience across all platforms.
• Conduct unit testing using frameworks compatible with the tech stack; ensure code quality through code reviews and adherence to SDLC principles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using project management tools such as Jira and Trello; participate in Agile development cycles.
• Maintain system architecture documentation; contribute to the development of scalable software solutions aligned with organisational goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in full-stack web development with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies.
• Experience working with server-side frameworks including Django (Python), Spring (Java), ASP.NET (.NET/C#), Ruby on Rails or Node.js.
• Solid understanding of database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB or SQL Server; ability to write complex queries using SQL.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices including containerisation (Docker), automation (Ansible), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins), cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) is desirable.
• Knowledge of web services protocols like RESTful APIs and GraphQL; experience integrating third-party APIs is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of system architecture principles; ability to develop scalable and secure applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
• Relevant qualifications in Computer Science or related fields are preferred but not mandatory if accompanied by demonstrable experience.
