Job Description:

Are you an experienced Office Manager or Senior Administrator who loves being at the heart of a business?

I am recruiting on behalf of a well-established specialist business operating within the motorsport and high-performance industry, who are looking for a confident, organised and proactive Office Manager to join their team.

This is not your typical office-based role. You’ll have real ownership of the day-to-day running of the office, working closely with the Managing Director while getting involved across accounts, administration, customers, suppliers and internal operations.

If you’re someone who spots what needs doing, takes initiative and enjoys making sure everything runs smoothly, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

⭐ What will you be doing? No two days will be exactly the same. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the smooth day-to-day running of the office
  • Providing administrative and operational support across the business
  • Taking ownership of credit control, invoicing, billing and customer statements
  • Processing UK and European sales invoices
  • Liaising closely with the company bookkeeper
  • Supporting supplier payments and account administration
  • Coordinating customer orders and dispatch
  • Acting as a professional and friendly first point of contact for customers
  • Resolving customer and sales queries
  • Managing general and sales email inboxes
  • Maintaining databases, records and internal office systems
  • Supporting HR, Health & Safety and operational processes
  • Managing office supplies, facilities, utilities and maintenance requirements
  • Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal contacts
  • Supporting the Managing Director and wider business wherever needed

🙋‍♀️ What are we looking for? We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, confident and naturally proactive. You should be comfortable taking ownership of your workload and working independently within a busy environment.

Ideally, you will have:

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience within an administration role
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Confidence prioritising workloads and working under pressure
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Experience with invoicing, accounts administration and/or credit control
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • A professional, friendly and confident approach
  • An NVQ Level 2/3 qualification in Management/Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • Experience using QuickBooks would be advantageous
  • Experience with UK, European and international VAT invoicing would also be beneficial

Why is this opportunity worth exploring? This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants a role where they can really make an impact.

You won’t simply be completing administration. You’ll become a key part of the business, trusted to manage your own workload, improve processes and ensure the office operates effectively. There may also be the opportunity to supervise and train additional administrative support as the team develops.

Working within the motorsport and high-performance industry also makes this a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys working in an interesting, specialist and fast-paced environment.
