Overview
In this role you will support the Risk Solutions business on hedging and derivatives, guiding structuring, negotiation and execution of complex transactions. You will work closely with front-office and legal stakeholders to manage legal and reputational risk across global markets. The role offers exposure to senior management and internal projects, with a focus on process improvement and cross-region collaboration. This is a chance to shape risk-aligned solutions within a leading financial institution.
Responsibilities
- Structure, negotiate and execute loan-linked hedging, deal contingent trades, novations and related documentation
- Review and draft documents such as ISDA Master Agreements, Intercreditor Agreements, Facilities Agreements, Deal Contingent Long Form Confirmations and Introducer Agreements
- Advise on finance-linked secured hedging and FX/interest rate deal contingent transactions
- Analyze hedging rights/obligations in loan and intercreditor agreements within leveraged and infrastructure financing
- Provide legal risk guidance to internal stakeholders and partner with front office to execute transactions from structuring to execution
- Contribute to internal Legal department projects and engage with senior legal management across regions
Key requirements
- English-qualified lawyer with experience in transactional law either in a firm or in-house advising on derivatives and structured transactions
