As Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with the Head Chef to lead the kitchen, maintain exceptional standards, and ensure every service runs smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Leading and motivating the kitchen team during service
- Helping to train, coach, and develop junior chefs
- Assisting with menu development using fresh, seasonal ingredients
- Managing stock, ordering, and helping to minimise waste
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
- Ensuring food safety, cleanliness, and kitchen organisation are always maintained
- Stepping up to lead the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
We’re looking for an experienced Sous Chef or a strong Junior Sous Chef ready to progress, with:
- A passion for fresh, seasonal food and quality ingredients
- Strong leadership skills and a positive, hands-on approach
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-quality kitchen
- Good knowledge of food safety, stock control, and kitchen operations
- A commitment to developing others and working as part of a close-knit team
- High standards, attention to detail, and pride in every plate that leaves the pass
