Overview

In this role you will lead electrical construction delivery on major laboratory, healthcare and technically complex projects for a Tier 1 contractor. You will work closely with project teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery while coordinating subcontractors and on-site teams. The position offers exposure to high-profile projects across East Anglia with a strong focus on safety, programme, and commissioning. This is an opportunity to shape critical infrastructure in healthcare and life sciences within a reputable contractor environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver electrical installations on major projects and manage on-site electrical delivery
  • Coordinate electrical subcontractors and specialist contractors
  • Plan sequencing and progress to meet programmes
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, design teams and wider construction teams
  • Monitor progress, quality, and compliance with specifications
  • Review drawings and technical information for installation requirements
  • Support MEP coordination and resolve on-site technical issues
  • Ensure works meet standards, regulations and project requirements
  • Maintain health, safety and environmental focus on site
  • Attend progress meetings and report on electrical activities
  • Manage resources, labour and materials to support efficient delivery
  • Support commissioning and handover through to project completion

Key requirements

  • Proven experience managing electrical construction activities on sizeable projects
  • Strong understanding of commercial building services and electrical installations
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and site-based electrical teams
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Proactive approach to programme, quality and safety
  • Relevant electrical qualifications and site management credentials
