Overview
In this role you lead environmental planning and consenting across multi-disciplinary projects within a global, agile team. You drive environmental outcomes in design and build contexts, shaping energy, rail, water and development schemes. Your work supports sustainable, compliant delivery and strong client partnerships, leveraging digital innovation and collaborative leadership. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver planning/environmental work across multi-disciplinary teams, guiding project development and optimal outcomes
- Drive business development and project delivery in the design & build sector, while engaging upstream environmental work
- Raise service awareness, win new opportunities and build new client contacts
- Manage key client relationships and promote cross-selling across the wider business
- Engage with consultees and stakeholders to secure approvals and support
- Oversee project performance in technical, quality, commercial, and health & safety aspects
- Collaborate with Arcadis colleagues globally to share expertise and resources
Key requirements
- Excellent knowledge of environmental and consenting processes, including EIA practices and case law
- Experience with contractors and influencing sustainability through design
- Experience across multiple project types and strong reporting/presentation skills
- Proven multi-disciplinary coordination and leadership, with project management and technical skills
- Consulting and negotiation experience with planning authorities, regulators and stakeholders
- Commercial acumen including forecasting, project management and QA
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification, preferably with chartered status or working towards
