About the Role As a Class 1 Driver, you'll play a key role in the smooth, efficient movement of palletised freight across our network.
n
Your responsibilities will include: Operating a curtain‐side trailer to trunk palletised goods.
n
Providing internal trunking support where required, including accurately verifying freight against the manifest at each depot stop.
n
Taking advantage of opportunities to gain additional certifications, including LST (Longer Semi-Trailer) during your employment.
n
Ensuring all goods are safely loaded, secured, and protected, using straps, nets, and other appropriate securing equipment.
n
Completing daily vehicle safety checks via your company mobile device to maintain the highest standards of safety and reliability.
n
Maintaining regular communication with the Transport Team, keeping them updated on progress and helping ensure excellent customer service.
n
Attending ongoing training and development sessions to stay up to date with industry standards and best practice.
n
Essential Skills and Qualifications Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
n
Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
n
Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
n
Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
n
Ability to work to deadlines.
n
Confident, polite, and a team player.
n
Good geographical knowledge.
n
Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
