Overview

In this role, you will lead the end-to-end onboarding and lifecycle management of trading counterparties for Mercer’s Direct Investment Unit. You will coordinate internal teams and external counterparties to maintain disciplined, timely processes and clear governance. You’ll manage the document pipeline, run onboarding and offboarding activities, and ensure AML/KYC, credit and legal controls are aligned. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that shapes onboarding workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the trading document pipeline tracker with current status and priority
  • Chair weekly stakeholder pipeline calls and ensure actions are tracked and closed
  • Prepare slides and coordinate updates for monthly meetings
  • Synchronize prioritisation with business needs and onboarding sequencing
  • Track progression through onboarding stages and provide visibility on status, dependencies and blockers
  • Lead onboarding kick-off with counterparties and coordinate AML/KYC and credit queries
  • Manage document collection, AML/KYC and credit review stages including onboarding platforms
  • Own the offboarding process with bank counterparties in line with governance

Key requirements

  • Extensive experience in trading documentation, counterparty onboarding, or lifecycle management within financial services or investment management
  • Proven project management ability coordinating multiple workstreams and priorities
  • Solid knowledge of AML/KYC, credit, legal documentation and onboarding controls
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across Legal, Trading, Operations and external counterparties
  • High attention to detail and structured issue escalation and resolution
  • Proficiency with workflow platforms, onboarding systems and internal tracking/reporting tools
