Overview
In this role you partner with senior leaders across Foster + Partners’ global practice to shape people strategy and lead complex HR initiatives that drive business performance. You’ll help build an inclusive, high-performing culture and manage the full employee lifecycle, including organisational change and policy improvement. You’ll work with HR Centres of Excellence to align talent, performance, learning, and workforce planning with business needs. Expect data-driven decision-making and meaningful cross-functional impact.

Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders to influence people decisions that support business performance
- Drive and deliver HR projects and strategic initiatives, including organisational change and culture programmes
- Lead complex employee relations cases with expert, risk-based guidance
- Shape and improve HR policies, processes, and ways of working across a global organisation
- Collaborate with HR Centres of Excellence on talent, performance, learning, and workforce planning
- Use data and insights to inform decision-making and improve the employee experience
Key requirements
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (Chartered status desirable)
- Proven HR Manager or HR Business Partner experience in a complex, fast-paced or matrixed environment
- Experience managing complex employee relations cases (disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, change)
- Experience leading or contributing to HR projects and people initiatives
- Commercial mindset with pragmatic, solution-focused HR advice balancing business priorities and risk
- Experience in professional services, consultancy, or architectural environments (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder-influence capabilities
- Analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Advanced MS Office (Excel and Word); HR systems and data platforms experience desirable
