Finance Manager

Overview

As a qualified accountant, you will own the month-end close and management reporting for Law Debenture’s corporate trust services. You’ll harmonize financial processes, strengthen controls, and partner with our SSC and business stakeholders to deliver accurate MI and robust reporting. You’ll drive process improvements, support IFRS 15 and budgeting, and act as a trusted liaison with Big-4 auditors. This is a hands-on role at a fast-growing, culturally collaborative firm with a clear impact on client service and governance.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close and reporting for assigned entities in Sage Intacct
• Produce timely monthly management accounts for the business line
• Enhance GL data and automate reporting where possible
• Review and improve core business controls and balance sheet reconciliations
• Coordinate between Manchester SSC and London stakeholders
• Support IFRS 15 revenue accounting and management information
• Help develop and implement the Group Financial Controls Framework
• Prepare and review entity annual financial statements
• Assist with quarterly VAT reconciliations and group reporting
• Manage day-to-day relationship with Big-4 auditors and support annual budgeting process

Key requirements

• Minimum 2:1 university degree
• Top 15 ACA/ACCA with 2+ years PQE
• Industry experience in finance; professional services advantageous
• Experience managing challenging external Big-4 audits
• Exceptional numeracy, attention to detail, and data manipulation
• Strong communication skills; IT literate; proficient in Excel
• Knowledge of Sage Intacct preferred
• Independent thinker with proactive problem-solving; ownership mindset
