Investment Analyst

Overview

In this Investment Analyst role within the LDI Portfolio Management Team at Mercer, you will support analytical and operational tasks to help monitor and manage client portfolios. You will gain exposure to government bonds and UK derivatives, with a pathway toward becoming a Portfolio Manager. The role focuses on improving data quality and tooling to boost team efficiency and oversight, in a hybrid London-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the LDI Portfolio Management team with day-to-day analytical and operational tasks
• Produce accurate and timely portfolio analytics, reporting packs, and management information
• Develop, maintain, and enhance tooling and reporting solutions to improve efficiency and portfolio oversight
• Assist with data extraction, validation, and reconciliation across internal systems and external inputs
• Help monitor portfolio performance, exposures, and risk metrics, and contribute to portfolio reviews and governance materials

Key requirements

• A degree in finance, mathematics, economics, engineering, data science, or a related discipline
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Strong Excel skills, with experience using data, reporting, and analytics tools
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work to tight deadlines, and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
