CNC programmer

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. The successful candidate will create, optimize, and validate CNC programs to support production of precision components, using industry-leading CAM/CAD tools.

Key responsibilities

• – Produce and optimize CNC programs for milling operations to meet print specifications and production targets
• – Use PowerMILL to generate and simulate toolpaths, ensuring efficient, collision-free programs
• – Use Autodesk software (e.g., Inventor, Fusion 360 or AutoCAD) to work from CAD models and prepare files for CAM
• – Translate engineering drawings and GD&T into accurate machining strategies
• – Select tooling, cutting parameters, feeds and speeds; revise programs based on material and process feedback
• – Simulate, test and troubleshoot programs on machines; support setup and first-off inspections
• – Collaborate with production, quality and engineering to improve processes and reduce cycle times
• – Maintain program documentation and revision control

Essential skills and experience

• – Minimum 2 years’ hands‑on CNC programming experience
• – Proven experience using PowerMILL for CAM programming and simulation
• – Experience with Autodesk products for CAD/CAM workflows
• – Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling and cutting parameters
• – Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and apply GD&T
• – Problem‑solving mindset, attention to detail and commitment to quality
• – Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• – Experience with multi‑axis (3-5 axis) machining
• – Familiarity with post‑processing and G-code optimization
• – Practical machine shop experience (setup/operators) is a plus
