Overview

In this role you will support the Management Accounts team to produce monthly and quarterly accounts, budgets and forecasts for the PBSUK entity. You work closely with the Financial Controller and Finance Director to ensure accurate reporting, timely close and insightful analysis. You will drive improvements to processes and systems, highlighting risks and opportunities to support decision-making. This is a hands-on position with a clear impact on financial control, performance management and business partnering across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts, budgets, forecasts and cash flow statements with variance analysis
  • Assist month/quarter end close in line with Group reporting deadlines
  • Lead revenue analysis ensuring compliance with revenue recognition standards
  • Maintain accuracy through key controls and reconciliations (intercompany, nominal)
  • Produce insightful cost and revenue reporting for Directors
  • Prepare regulatory returns (FCA, ONS, VAT)
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks for Financial Controller and Finance Director
  • Own specific P&L and Balance Sheet accounts (accruals/prepayments, cost analysis, variances)
  • Monitor spending and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Develop and oversee financial systems and procedures for efficiency
  • Partner with non-financial managers to support decision-making and provide financial implications of business decisions
  • Review ledger processing, customer refunds, credit card spend, BACs receipts and payments

Key requirements

  • Part / Fully qualified CIMA / ACCA or equivalent
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of financial reporting policies and procedures
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines
  • Ability to manipulate and present large data sets in Excel
  • Experience with month-end/quarter-end processes and budgeting/forecasting
