Functional Consultant – D365

Overview

In this role you will bridge business stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure Dynamics 365 solutions meet objectives and drive measurable value. You’ll work in an Agile squad to map processes, gather requirements, and translate them into functional specifications for Dynamics 365 capabilities across key journeys. Your work supports a broader technology strategy and transformation within Softcat’s Internal Technology function. You will engage with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to a scalable platform-based solution that enables the business to progress.

Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand objectives and opportunities for process improvement
• Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions and process mapping
• Gather, document and prioritise business requirements
• Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria and functional specifications
• Support backlog creation and refinement with Product Owners

Key requirements

• Experience implementing and configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions
• Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service or related modules
• Experience designing business processes using Dynamics 365 capabilities
• Knowledge of Dataverse and Power Platform functionality
