Overview
In this role you will support a market-leading facilities business by delivering surveying services and project management for infrastructure and building assets. You’ll conduct asset capture, condition and specialist surveys, and support long-term asset management with data-driven solutions. After specialist training, you may act as Principal Designer to ensure CDM and Building Regulation compliance, while helping clients pursue Net Zero goals and energy transition. You join multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes for national clients in Health, Education, and Justice sectors.
Responsibilities
- Conduct asset capture and condition surveys, including historic assessments, void surveys, and specialist surveys (RAAC and fire compliance)
- Provide full design and project management for minor building fit-out projects for national clients
- Support fee build-up, client liaison, and project delivery through all stages from start to close-out
- Work with advisory teams to optimise asset management plans using data-driven solutions
- Assist as Principal Designer after training, ensuring CDM and Building Regulations compliance
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes across sectors such as Health, Education, and Justice
Key requirements
- Chartered or Associate Membership of RICS (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in building surveying and asset condition surveys
- Project and contract management expertise, including procurement and delivery of major works
- Strong knowledge of Building Regulations, Planning, Health & Safety, Environmental and Sustainability standards
- Experience with specialist surveys (e.g., RAAC, fire compliance)
- Principal Designer competence under CDM and Building Regulations
