Senior Finance Business Partner

Overview

As a Finance Business Partner, you will partner with senior stakeholders to shape long-term plans and provide insights to support decision making. You’ll lead planning, forecast headcount and costs, and build models to analyse Wise’s cost base. You will deliver deep-dives on key metrics and communicate results to leaders, influencing strategic choices. This role offers autonomy to drive sustainable growth and cost optimization in a fast-growing fintech.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior stakeholders to form long-term plans and provide proactive insights
• Drive planning processes and forecast headcount and operating costs
• Build frameworks, models and reports to analyse cost base and identify risks and opportunities
• Provide deep dives on key business and financial metrics and focus on actuals vs forecast
• Develop a narrative around results and manage communications to department leads and leadership
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape financial strategy and growth investments
• Own the path to success with high autonomy and accountability

Key requirements

• Proven experience partnering with stakeholders and acting as trusted advisor
• Extensive experience in financial modelling and cost analysis (planning tool such as Anaplan)
• Experience establishing policies, cost controls, and monitoring spend for sustainable growth
• Experience forecasting headcount
• Qualified finance professional (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with IFRS knowledge and post-qualification experience
