Overview

In this role you will oversee the profitable and compliant operation of cleaning, security and peripheral services across the South-West region, ensuring high service standards and accurate financial forecasting. You will lead multi-site delivery, manage client relationships and contracts, and drive growth while maintaining budget discipline. A key focus is retention of major contracts and timely invoicing with strong cash collection. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet contractual objectives and support business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver services across the designated area to meet contractual obligations and strategic division goals
  • Build and nurture customer partnerships, enabling cross-service collaboration
  • Communicate clearly with staff at all levels to align on business goals and value contributions
  • Support sales in preparing tenders and delivering area-specific sales presentations
  • Recruit, develop and, if needed, manage onsite operations managers to meet requirements
  • Ensure compliance with OCS policies and industry regulations, emphasizing ISO quality systems and health & safety
  • Actively participate in retaining major contracts approaching re-tendering
  • Coordinate with other Facilities Managers to enhance staff motivation and retention
  • Maintain P&L accountability for the area and manage within budget to maximize revenue and gross margin
  • Liaise with internal and external bodies to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence

Key requirements

  • Knowledge of soft services and delivery experience is essential
  • Experience managing a multi-site, service-based, national, low-margin business
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized with ability to prioritize and delegate
  • Ability to mentor and develop subordinates
