Senior Account Risk Engineer – Property

Overview

In this role you will support the Pacific regional underwriting office by providing property risk engineering oversight and technical guidance for commercial accounts. You will work closely with underwriting and the Property UW team to shape risk selections, measure account risk, and drive quality improvements. You help reduce loss potential through risk assessments, surveys, and loss-control consultations, while managing the client service process for assigned accounts. This position offers a hands-on chance to influence underwriting performance in a collaborative, office-based setting and shape key client outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering oversight to the regional underwriting office for commercial property accounts and complete Account Summary Reports for prospective and renewal business
• Support underwriters by establishing key account measures (MFL, NLE), risk ratings, and risk recommendation compliance in line with AIG guidelines
• Deliver engineering services that improve underwriting performance and reduce overall account loss potential through risk assessments and improvement consultations
• Manage the property engineering Client Service Process (CSP) including service plan development, coordination, report reviews, and stewardship of the account
• Develop field engineering service and survey plans, review reports, provide loss-control support to engineers and clients, and perform marketing for new and renewal business
