Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias – Night Shift Location: Preston Shift: Permanent Nights Position: Permanent Salary: From £45k to £55k + OTWe are recruiting an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical Bias to join the engineering team, working a permanent night shift within a busy manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery
  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding
  • Diagnose and repair breakdowns to minimise production downtime
  • Work with motors, drives, sensors, control panels and automated equipment
  • PLC fault finding and diagnostics
  • Carry out PPM schedules and preventative maintenance
  • Support machinery improvements, installations and upgrades
  • Maintain accurate engineering and maintenance records
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures

Skills & Experience

  • Electrically biased, multi-skilled maintenance background
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills
  • Good mechanical maintenance knowledge
  • Experience with PLCs, motors, drives, sensors and control systems
  • Ability to work independently during night shifts
  • Recognised electrical/engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND or equivalent
  • 18th Edition would be advantageous
