Post Production Engineer

Overview

In this role, you will provide hands-on engineering support for screening, picture, and sound departments across Soho Square and Greek Street. You will maintain and troubleshoot production hardware/software, uphold high technical and security standards, and assist with installations for cutting rooms and client systems. You will collaborate with operations and management to ensure smooth service delivery and may cover screening theatres when needed. This role puts you at the heart of world-class post-production facilities, enabling two iconic studios to keep delivering exceptional experiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support and implement technical changes in screening, picture, and sound areas
• Maintain, update and troubleshoot production hardware and software for reliability
• Uphold high technical, operational and security standards
• Calibrate broadcast monitors, cinema projectors and audio systems
• Install and configure cutting rooms and client systems
• Offer technical support to staff, clients and production sessions
• Coordinate with operations and management to minimise disruption
• Cover screening theatres in the absence of the projectionist
• Assist in safety by participating as a Fire Warden on site

Key requirements

• Operational support experience with Linux-based FilmLight Baselight and Autodesk Flame systems
• Strong understanding of digital cinema equipment, standard post-production workflows
• Expertise in picture monitor and projector technologies and calibration
• Ability to perform audio monitor line-ups for mix stages
• Solid IT skills: workstation assembly, configuration, troubleshooting and networking
• Experience supporting shared media storage platforms: Avid Nexis, DDP, StorNext, GPFS
• Experience in fast-paced post-production environments
• Good knowledge of Linux, macOS and networking principles
• Familiarity with video/audio standards and broadcast/post-production infrastructure
• Knowledge of MPAA security standards and best practices
