Job overview

We are recruiting Rotational Booking Administrators within the Imaging department. You should have the ability to work well under pressure, be organised and have excellent attention to detail. You must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, liaising with staff at all levels in a confident manner and be willing to learn.

We are a diverse and friendly team who are dedicated and highly motivated to ensure both patients and staff receive the best service. As part of our Imaging Administration team, you may be required to work on a rotating shift pattern within our specialist areas. This is to broaden your skills and knowledge and to assist colleagues in different departments.

Shift work and weekend working is required for this role.Occasional cover at our X-ray department in Saffron Walden Community Hospital is preferred.

Main duties of the job

You will provide high-quality administrative support to the department.Tasks will include typing, Reception duties, customer service, maintaining databases, booking appointments / meeting, filing, organising and booking meeting rooms and general administrative support to the Department.You will play a key role in the efficient day to day activities of the department. You will often be the first point of contact for the department and will be required to communicate in a professional and courteous manner.You will answer general queries and explain information relating to the department.

Interviews are due to be held on 21st October 2026.

All appointments with a start date on or after 1 October 2026 will be subject to a 12-week probationary period. This provides a structured and supportive period to help you settle into your role, with regular reviews and feedback.

Qualifications

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
  • NVQ level 2 Customer Service/Business Admin/ITQ or equivalent
  • Admin or equivalent experience

Experience

  • Experience of working in a busy office environment or reception role
  • Experience of prioritising, planning and organising own tasks

  • Experience of IT packages – Microsoft Office
