Overview

In this role you will lead a strategic, client-focused growth agenda for AECOM’s Aviation business across the UK & Ireland. You’ll shape the growth strategy, win major programmes, and build long-term executive relationships with aviation clients to strengthen trust and repeat business. You will oversee cross-disciplinary delivery of flagship programmes while driving commercial performance and sustainability. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity to expand AECOM’s aviation footprint and reputation through strategic, globally informed delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the three-year growth strategy for the Aviation Sector in UK & Ireland and convert priority market opportunities
  • Own and execute the client engagement strategy with executive-level aviation clients
  • Lead pursuit and capture of major opportunities (typically >$5M) and shape opportunities pre-procurement
  • Manage end-to-end work winning processes with multidisciplinary teams to craft differentiated proposals
  • Develop winning strategies leveraging global capability and programme delivery expertise
  • Implement and optimise the hybrid Enterprise Capability and home-country delivery model
  • Expand AECOM’s aviation profile through industry engagement and executive relationships
  • Collaborate with global Aviation and Transportation teams to unlock cross-border opportunities

Key requirements

  • Proven success in pursuing and winning major infrastructure opportunities and strategic programmes
  • Established relationships with aviation sector stakeholders (airport operators, infrastructure owners, contractors, partners)
  • Experience building client strategies, growing key accounts, and securing repeat business
  • Experience delivering complex, multidisciplinary infrastructure programmes
  • Strong commercial acumen with track record of managing performance and growth
  • Experience operating in a global organisation and leveraging international capability
