Supplier Quality Engineer

Overview

In this role you will drive quality performance across our supplier base, ensuring incoming components meet engineering and customer requirements. You will partner with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues, perform root cause analysis, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll oversee PPAP/APQP activities, supplier audits, and data-driven quality planning to sustain supply and performance. This role sits at the heart of our quality culture, shaping reliable supply for premium turf equipment projects.

Responsibilities

• Own supplier measurement processes and verify incoming goods against drawings and specs
• Log supplier quality issues and issue corrective/preventive actions
• Collaborate with production to address supplier-related line failures
• Control non-conforming material and rejected goods tracking
• Provide quality support to internal departments and suppliers
• Lead FMEA/PFMEA, PPAP/APQP activities for new projects and supplier visits
• Review warranty data and drive RCCA for customer satisfaction
• Analyze supplier quality performance and implement continuous improvements
• Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory and company requirements in drawings and docs
• Own and present supplier quality performance metrics (PPM, CAPA, trends)
• Support internal audits and PPAP/NPI approvals
• Suggest improvements to quality processes, documentation, and data collection systems
• Other reasonable duties as required

Key requirements

• Minimum two years’ experience in a Quality environment
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of ISO9001 or equivalent
• Ability to conduct supplier audits
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and collaboration across functions
• Self-motivated and customer oriented
• Computer literate
• Experience with quality tools (8D, Root Cause Analysis, PFMEA, APQP, PPAP)
