Design Engineer

Our engineering client (near Eastleigh) is currently looking for a 2D draftsperson – The ideal candidate will have experience of working with sheet metal / steel fabrication.The role will be working within the Architectural Design department, covering a wide range of products and varied projects in the UK and Europe. In-house training will be given in company procedures, document management and standard products.Responsibilities

• Draw, update, and maintain designs
• Manage multiple complex projects at the same time
• Ensure our designs meet manufacturing, technical and customer Responsibilities
• Producing CAD models and drawings.
• Creating Bills of Materials / Parts Lists.
• Detail drawings for manufacture in UK and Europe.
• Upkeep of project documentation and drawing revisions.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills / experience

• Experienced Cad Draftsperson.
• 2d Autodesk and AutoCAD.
• Sheet Metal, Steel Fabrication, Special Purpose Machinery
• Minimum 5 years’ experience within a similar field or role (preferred)

HoursMonday to Thursday 8-30am to 5-15pmFriday 8-30am to 1-00 pm.Salary:£38,000p/a – £45,000p/aAdditional benefits:

• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
• After 5 years of service, holiday will increase to 30 days plus bank holidays.
• Free parking on site
