Overview
In this role you will lead hydrogeology and water environment work within a multidisciplinary Bristol team, delivering client-focused assessments and projects across infrastructure, renewables and built environment sectors. You’ll manage technical delivery, mentor junior staff, and maintain strong client relationships while supporting proposals. The position combines hands-on hydrogeological work with cross‑functional collaboration to shape water environment outcomes. Responsibilities
- Lead hydrogeological assessments, investigations and monitoring programmes
- Prepare and review EIA water chapters
- Manage water environment assessments, abstraction licensing and groundwater permitting
- Perform technical analysis, interpretation and reporting
- Manage client relationships and support proposals
- Lead multidisciplinary project delivery
- Mentor and develop scientists and hydrogeologists
Key requirements
- Substantial UK hydrogeology or water environment experience
- A degree in Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Geoscience or a related discipline
- Strong hydrogeological assessment and water monitoring experience
- Knowledge of UK water legislation and regulatory requirements
- Strong technical reporting, client and communication skills
- Chartered status or working towards chartership
- Driving licence permitting you to drive in the UK
