We’re looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join a critical Defence project in London.
This is a hands-on role covering application support, systems administration, production databases and backend infrastructure, working closely with an existing on-site engineer.
Key Responsibilities– Manage and support multiple production databases, including MSSQL.– Provide 1st-3rd line support and troubleshoot application/system issues.– Administer Linux and Windows production environments.– Support BAU and backend infrastructure activities.– Automate infrastructure using IaC and scripting.– Deploy and support production services and client IT systems.– Work directly with technical teams and end users.
Essential Experience– Existing UK DV clearance – essential– Strong MSSQL administration experience– Production Linux administration– Infrastructure as Code, ideally Ansible– Docker / Docker Compose– Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills– Excellent communication and stakeholder skills
Desirable– GitLab / CI/CD– REST APIs– IIS– Jira / Confluence– Keycloak, Grafana, Elasticsearch or NiFi
