The Administrative Assistant will contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the school office, providing high-quality administrative, reception and clerical support. The postholder will provide accurate and timely support for pupil records, school information systems, communications, examinations and wider school processes, while acting as a professional first point of contact for pupils, parents/carers, staff, visitors, external agencies and the wider school community. The role will:
- Provide a professional, welcoming and efficient reception and administrative service.
- Maintain accurate pupil information and undertake defined responsibilities for pupil starters, leavers and secure transfer of records.
- Support school communications, examinations administration, website maintenance and statutory or periodic data processes.
- Handle confidential information appropriately and exercise sound judgement when prioritising work, responding to enquiries and referring matters to colleagues.
- Work flexibly as part of the administration team and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the school.
The postholder will work as part of the school administration team under the direction of the School Office Manager. The role requires accuracy, confidentiality, initiative and the ability to manage competing priorities within a busy specialist school environment.
Woolston Brook is a small, specialist school for children and young people aged 7-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
