As a Machine Operator / Production Operative, your responsibilities will include:

• Setting and operating press brake, CNC router and laser machinery, checking materials for size, thickness and grade
• Reading technical drawings and Bills of Materials, then measuring and inspecting parts accurately
• Assembling products using hand and air tools across the production areas
• Deburring, sorting, routing and labelling parts, and completing quality documentation
• Inspecting, testing and packaging finished products to specification
• Following health and safety procedures and contributing to continuous improvement

As a Machine Operator / Production Operative, your experience will include:

• Operating press brakes, CNC routers or lasers in an engineering or manufacturing environment (Machine Operator)
• Experience on factory production lines, in assembly or in quality control within manufacturing (Production Operative)
• Confidence using verniers, protractors, squares, tape measures and hand tools
• Reading technical drawings, with nesting software, Microsoft 365, Sage or Cim50 knowledge an advantage
• A reliable, conscientious approach and a strong eye for detail
• The physical stamina and mobility to stand for long periods and handle materials safely
