Customs Manager – Dagenham

Location: Dagenham, Essex

Salary: Circa £50,000 – Negotiable DOE

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Working Pattern: 100% Office-Based

I’m recruiting for an experienced Customs Manager to join a well-established international logistics business based in Dagenham.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of 4 Customs Operators
• Oversee customs processes and compliance
• Complete customs entries and T forms for export trailers
• Arrange customs clearance for import trailers
• Manage VAT and duties
• Handle HMRC queries
• Mentor and train team members where needed

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 years customs experience
• Strong knowledge of the full import/export customs process
• Experience dealing directly with HMRC
• Previous team leadership/supervisory experience
• Experience using Sequoia
• Strong communication and organisational skillsA great opportunity for an experienced customs professional looking to take ownership of a busy function within an established logistics operation.

Salary is circa £50,000 and negotiable depending on experience.
