What you will do:

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage children with feeding and swallowing difficulties.
  • Manage neonatal feeding and swallowing challenges with expertise.
  • Oversee a specialist paediatric dysphagia caseload and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Collaborate closely with parents, carers, and multidisciplinary teams, providing specialist advice for feeding and swallowing management.
  • Prioritise referrals, support discharge planning, and evaluate treatment outcomes using evidence‑based practice.
  • Maintain detailed clinical records and participate in audits, service development, and quality improvement activities.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate paediatric dysphagia training is essential.
  • Experience in assessing and managing paediatric dysphagia and feeding difficulties.
  • Demonstrated experience working within neonatal services and acute paediatric settings.
  • Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills with the capability to manage a specialist caseload independently.
  • Experience with complex dysphagia in infants or managing communication disorders would be advantageous.
