Senior AI DevOps Engineer

Overview

In this role you build AI-enabled, production-grade software and platform solutions, operating across software development, DevOps and cloud platforms. You design and deploy API-driven services, modernise apps to cloud-native architectures, and integrate with AI platforms while ensuring quality and safety. You work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, end-to-end systems in production. This is a hands-on senior engineering role with a strong focus on scalable, AI-powered delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and operate AI-enabled software and platform solutions
• Develop API-driven services and integrations for AI capabilities
• Modernise applications to service-based, cloud-native architectures
• Implement integration between software and AI platforms using appropriate patterns
• Use AI tools to boost engineering productivity while ensuring quality, safety, and correctness
• Review and guide AI-generated code and outputs to meet engineering standards
• Build services in TypeScript and Python with strong testing and clean code practices
• Package, deploy, and operate workloads using Kubernetes (e.g. Helm) and Terraform
• Collaborate with engineers, platform teams, and AI specialists to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Own production systems beyond just code in builds

Key requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Software or DevOps Engineer or similar
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: design, testing, operability
• Experience building API-first or service-based systems
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Python
• Hands-on experience deploying/operating production systems using containers and automation
• Ability to work across development, deployment, and operations
• Track record of owning technical outcomes in complex environments
