Compliance Manager

Overview

As Compliance Manager you will lead the Building & Fire Safety compliance agenda, ensuring safe, statutory-compliant practices across the council’s stock. You’ll work with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to drive efficient, credible compliance activities while prioritising building user safety. You’ll develop relationships with corporate partners and provide trusted, pragmatic compliance guidance in a complex environment. This role offers the chance to shape safety and regulatory outcomes within a diverse, service-oriented council.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Compliance area of the Building & Fire Safety service and ensure statutory compliance across properties
• Drive efficiency in compliance activities while maintaining safety as the top priority
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with corporate stakeholders and other directorates
• Provide competent, pragmatic compliance advice and act as an influential communicator
• Collaborate across teams to support stock maintenance, safety monitoring and regulatory readiness
• Support cross-functional work to align compliance with organizational goals and values
