Production Manager

Overview

As Production Manager you will oversee plant production to meet contract commitments and maximize profitability. You will lead production scheduling, ensure quality standards, and drive throughput within budget. You’ll foster a culture of continuous improvement and lean practices, guiding Production Supervisors and teams to high performance. This role partners with cross-functional teams to reduce costs and ensure on-time delivery in a fast-paced aerospace environment. You will shape manufacturing processes and contribute to the company’s mission of delivering reliable ground support solutions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee plant production to meet standards for throughput and quality
• Lead continuous improvement discussions and initiatives in responsible areas
• Foster a productive environment and resolve conflicts to maintain performance
• Create and manage budgets, approve expenditures, and stay within financial plans
• Direct Production Supervisors and Team Reps to drive employee involvement and accountability
• Ensure production schedules align with the master schedule and are met
• Verify units meet or exceed quality standards
• Assist in developing and coordinating new methods to reduce manufacturing costs

Key requirements

• Six plus years of related work experience
• Knowledge and experience with production scheduling
• Ability to implement and drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement processes
• Heavy equipment or automotive manufacturing experience at the management level
