Role Overview
GSK are currently looking for a Pick and Pack Operator to join the team in Harlow. This person will beresponsible for the execution of accurate picking, packaging, and preparation of materials and products for shipment. Whilst maintaining high standards of safety, quality, inventory accuracy, and housekeeping. The Pick and Pack operator plays a key role in ensuring customer requirements are met and products are dispatched on time and in accordance with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick materials and products accurately against orders, pick lists, or system-generated instructions.
- Inspect products and packaging for damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
- Carry out inventory transactions and stock movements using warehouse systems.
- Pack products to the required standards, ensuring appropriate packaging materials are used.
- Load, unload, and manage conditioned gel packs and temperature-control components within designated cold rooms, refrigerators, and freezers to support the preparation of temperature-controlled shipments.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, including labelling and documentation where required.
- Ensure all activities are completed in compliance with company SOPs, quality requirements, and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment and material handling equipment where trained and authorised.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams.
- Solid knowledge and experience of relevant warehouse, logistics, and inventory management systems (e.g. PMD, COMET, Modula, RAMOS, SAP, or equivalent systems).
- Demonstrated ability to follow SOP’s and understand and action when issues should be escalated.
- Transportation and Packaging knowledge and understanding.
- Effective Communicator, written and verbal.
- Customer and people focused.
