Data Scientist

Overview

In this role you drive data strategy and architecture for a client, shaping how data capabilities scale with GenAI adoption. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture, guide ML/LLM initiatives, and ensure delivery on data-driven objectives. You lead technical engagements, oversee a small team, and act as the go-to expert on machine learning and large language models. This position supports secure, cutting-edge AI initiatives in cloud or HPC environments.

Responsibilities

• Stay at the forefront of GenAI advancements and industry trends
• Build and/or deploy LLMs and ML models in Cloud or HPC environments
• Lead day-to-day technical engagements on projects and manage a small team
• Serve as the primary technical expert for Machine Learning and Large Language Models
• Maintain robust programming practices and contribute to solution design with a focus on data architecture and strategy
• DV Security Cleared requirement (security clearance)

Key requirements

• Experience in Data Architecture and defining Data Strategy
• Robust programming skills
• Experience with Docker, Linux/Unix CLI, Git, and testing
• Experience with one major cloud platform
• Knowledge areas: Agentic AI systems and Architecture, Graph RAG, Traditional RAG, Vision Language Models, Computer Vision, Audio Processing
• DV Security Clearance requirement
• Strong leadership and ability to guide technical engagements
