Cyber Security Manager – Operations

Overview

In this role, you will lead the day-to-day operational security function to protect Morrisons’ systems and customer data. You will drive security operations, threat monitoring, and incident response while collaborating with internal teams and third-party partners. You’ll manage and optimise security tools, produce trend reports, and support continuous improvement across security programmes. This position offers a hands-on, strategic leadership opportunity in a fast-paced retail tech environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead security operations including threat monitoring and incident response
• Collaborate with internal teams and third-party partners to ensure effective controls
• Manage and optimise operational security tools and technologies
• Produce reports on security events, trends and response actions
• Support wider security programmes and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure threats are identified and addressed quickly and maintain stakeholder trust

Key requirements

• Previous experience in cyber security operations or SOC management
• Strong understanding of incident detection, response, and escalation
• Familiarity with SIEM tools, threat intelligence, and endpoint protection
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management experience
• Experience managing internal teams and/or third-party suppliers
