Advance or start your HR career while earning a recognised degree and gaining practical experience. Learn the HR profession while helping a purpose led organisation grow. This is a core operational role previous HR experience is not required.
The role combines paid employment at Development Trusts NI with part-time study towards the BSc (Hons) Human Resource Management Degree Apprenticeship at Ulster University. The programme lasts four years, with one university study day each week and workplace learning on the remaining days.
DTNI is a member-led network supporting community anchor organisations across Northern Ireland through membership, projects, events, consultancy, policy and organisational development.Working closely with the Head of Operations & Development, you will support people administration, help maintain and develop our new CRM system, and contribute to membership growth, projects, events, strategic planning and continuous improvement. You will also work with DTNI’s Board and Associate Consultant Network.
No previous HR experience is required. Through practical work, mentoring, feedback and study, you will develop valuable skills and take on greater responsibility as your confidence and competence grow.
Who Can Apply
We are looking for potential, curiosity and a genuine interest in people and how organisations work. Experience from existing work, education, volunteering, caring responsibilities, part-time work, clubs or community activity is welcome and can be used to demonstrate the skills required. This role would suit someone with a few years of working experience or an entry level apprenticeship willing to learn the HR profession while helping a small, purpose-led organisation develop.
We are looking for someone to start immediately so they are onboard with DTNI before the the degree course begins in mid September.
