Job Description:

We’re recruiting for a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join an established business. You’ll be responsible for assembling precision mechanical and electrical components, carrying out testing and ensuring finished products meet the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical and electrical components from engineering drawings and specifications
  • Carry out wiring, testing and quality checks
  • Follow detailed manufacturing and assembly procedures
  • Support the introduction of new products into production
  • Create and update manufacturing instructions and documentation
  • Record test results and maintain accurate production records
  • Ensure work meets required quality and cleanliness standards
  • Support occasional client visits and site-based work

Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements

  • Previous experience in mechanical or electromechanical assembly
  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Experience in precision assembly, wiring or product testing would be advantageous
  • Manufacturing or cleanroom experience is desirable
  • Experience working with low-volume or customised products would be beneficial
  • Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Level 3 Mechanical Engineering, HNC/HND, degree or equivalent experience
  • Time-served apprenticeship/QBE candidates will also be considered
