Overview
In this role you will join established NHS Haematology services to deliver expert clinical care across a broad spectrum of hematology conditions. You will work within a consultant-led team, contribute to subspecialty development, and engage in teaching, research, and service improvement. Responsibilities
- Manage a broad spectrum of clinical and laboratory Haematology, including acute and chronic leukemias, lymphoma, myeloma, myelodysplastic and myeloproliferative disorders, general benign haematology, haemostasis and thrombosis
- Develop and expand subspecialty interests within a consultant team
- Engage in teaching, research, audit, quality improvement, and clinical leadership
- Collaborate with specialist nurses, laboratory teams, oncology, radiology, pathology, palliative care, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commit to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and career progression
- Support service development and governance within the department
Key requirements
- Full GMC Registration with Licence to Practise
- GMC Specialist Registration in Haematology (or within 6 months of CCT/CESR)
- FRCPath (or equivalent)
- Broad experience across clinical and laboratory Haematology
- Commitment to clinical governance, multidisciplinary working, teaching, research, audit, and service improvement
