Responsibilities
- Produce and advise on flood risk and drainage strategies for planning applications in major sectors
- Collaborate with local and regional teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Apply knowledge of UK policy and guidance to planning processes
- Support sustainable drainage strategy development
- Utilise technical tools to model and analyse drainage scenarios
- Communicate findings clearly to clients and stakeholders
- Contribute to project delivery timelines and quality standards
- Assist in business development and multidisciplinary teamwork
Key requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering subject
- Minimum 2+ years relevant post-graduate experience
- Experience in flood risk assessments and sustainable drainage strategy
- Private sector/consultancy development background
- Knowledge of UK policy and guidance (NPPF, PPG, TAN15, CIRIA SuDS Manual)
- Understanding of UK planning process for developments and regeneration
- Numerate and software literate; working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Knowledge of GIS and drainage modelling software (e.g., MicroDrainage) desirable
- Full driving licence and access to a car
