Overview

In this role you will join Citi’s Production Services in Belfast to support the Prime Finance Application stack, ensuring high availability for trading, sales, middle office and operations. You will work with global partners in a follow-the-sun model to resolve incidents, drive stability and service improvements, and deliver strategic technical solutions. Your work will involve supporting frontline users, onboarding new systems, and collaborating with developers and business analysts. This is an opportunity to shape critical Prime Finance platforms within a leading global bank.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct user support for critical Prime Applications
  • Support for all Prime business issues
  • Develop, maintain and enhance monitoring solutions
  • Handle requests from the central ticketing queue during core business hours
  • Ensure platform operational readiness for the business
  • Onboard new systems for support
  • Complete stability-focused projects to improve operations
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement proper change management
  • Create proactive, resilient solutions

Key requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Advanced experience with Unix/Linux, complex SQL, and financial messaging technologies (Solace, MQ, Kafka)
  • Databases: Sybase, Microsoft SQL; Oracle/DB2 a plus
  • Experience in trading or middle office is a bonus
  • Experience with batch scheduling tools (Autosys) and enterprise monitoring (ITRS Geneos)
  • Subject matter expert for Securities Lending functionalities, architecture, and interdependencies
  • Understanding of external regulatory mandates (SFTR, Dodd-Frank)
