Overview
In this role you will lead the Wealth Services Operations Asset Movement team to ensure accurate, compliant asset movement processing at scale. You will oversee instructions, resolve exceptions, and build cross‑functional partnerships with custodians and internal teams. You will drive risk management, record-keeping, and continuous improvement through AI and digital tooling. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the asset movement processing team to ensure accuracy and service level adherence
- Oversee processing of asset movement instructions for completeness and compliance with procedures and controls
- Investigate and resolve exceptions, breaks, rejected instructions, and aging items; act as escalation point
- Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, counterparties, custodians, brokers, and stakeholders to advance activity
- Monitor team queues, case volumes, and priorities for timely completion
- Ensure activities comply with risk, control standards, escalation procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for all asset movement activity
- Identify process inefficiencies and control gaps; drive continuous improvement with a focus on AI/digital solutions
- Provide subject matter support and training to colleagues; mentor less experienced team members
- Recruit, lead, motivate, and develop staff to maximize contribution and foster collaboration
Key requirements
- Experience in operations, asset servicing, wealth services, securities processing, or asset movement functions
- Solid understanding of asset movement processes, controls, and operational risk
- Strong attention to detail with ability to manage high-volume processing
- Effective problem-solving and investigative capabilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Excel skills including pivots, lookups, and data analysis of large data sets
