Overview

In this role you will lead Assystem’s involvement in a major Defence Infrastructure framework, acting as the senior client and JV representative. You’ll enable multi-workstream delivery and shape solutions across organisational boundaries without direct resource control. Based in Glasgow, you will drive stakeholder engagement, governance participation, and continuous improvement to support growth of the framework. This is an opportunity to influence strategic delivery in a regulated, high-stakes environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as senior client interface and build long-term relationships with key stakeholders
  • Represent Assystem within the joint venture and align with strategic objectives and ways of working
  • Shape delivery approaches to meet evolving client needs and identify future opportunities
  • Foster collaboration and alignment across multi-party JV delivery
  • Provide oversight across projects/workstreams and act as escalation point for issues
  • Support mobilisation of teams and integration of in-house and supply chain capabilities
  • Drive continuous improvement and consistency in delivery activities
  • Contribute to account turnover, margin, and framework performance visibility
  • Coordinate resource planning and capability development
  • Shaping opportunities through Bid/No Bid decisions and supporting bid processes
  • Support internal communication and engagement across bids, projects, and capability
  • Promote best practices and leadership collaboration within Assystem

Key requirements

  • Professionally recognised engineering or technical degree
  • Strong understanding of UK Defence Infrastructure sector and supply chain
  • Experience in client-facing, framework or programme environments
  • Experience in joint ventures, alliances or collaborative delivery models
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capability
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of framework delivery models
  • Ability to influence without direct authority across organisational boundaries
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Broad understanding of engineering, delivery and procurement processes
