VP of Software Engineering

Overview

In this role you will shape the technical vision and drive execution across SLR’s software engineering ecosystem. You will lead multiple teams, align engineering with business goals, and foster an inclusive, high-performance culture. You’ll tackle scalable, secure systems at scale and stay ahead with cloud-native and AI-enabled tech. Responsibilities

• Strategic leadership: define and execute the long-term technical roadmap aligned with company goals
• Engineering organization management: lead and grow diverse teams across data, digital, and AI domains
• Technical excellence: ensure high-quality, scalable, secure software delivery and promote best practices
• Talent acquisition & development: attract and develop engineering talent and foster inclusion and continuous learning
• Process & delivery: implement agile/lean processes, measure engineering metrics, and improve delivery predictability
• Innovation & technology: monitor industry trends and evaluate impactful technologies
• Risk & compliance: manage technical risk, data privacy, and regulatory compliance
• Budget & operations: oversee engineering budget, vendors, and infrastructure costs
• Cross-functional collaboration: advise leadership and support the C-suite on technical matters

Key requirements

• 12+ years of progressive software engineering experience
• 5–7 years in senior engineering leadership (Director or above)
• Experience leading engineering organizations in SaaS, consumer tech, fintech, or enterprise software environments
• Proven track record shipping complex, high-scale products and platforms for enterprise users
• Servant leadership style with a history of building high-trust, high-performance cultures

• Deep expertise in modern software architecture
