Software Engineer

Overview

In this role you will develop and maintain C++ software for advanced maritime and defence systems, contributing across the full development lifecycle. You will join a growing engineering team that supports mission-critical software and integrates with external sensors and systems. Expect hands-on design, implementation, and testing within an Agile environment, delivering robust, scalable back-end and GUI components. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain C++ software
• Design back-end systems, communication layers and client-server apps
• Develop front-end GUIs
• Integrate software with external systems and sensors
• Perform unit and simulation-based testing
• Work within an Agile/SCRUM environment

Key requirements

• Strong C++ development experience
• Object-oriented programming and software design experience
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms and design patterns
• Experience with debugging and fault finding
• Understanding of networking and data serialization
• Database and front-end development experience
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience with Qt, QML, DDS, PostgreSQL, STL, XML or sensor integration would be highly beneficial
