Commercial Director (Renewable Energy)

Overview

In this role you will lead the commercial direction for the Renewables division, focusing on major onshore wind projects from feasibility through mobilisation. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are commercially viable, financially managed and construction-ready. The position sits on the Senior Leadership Team, shaping strategy, risk management and procurement outcomes to support growth in a greener future. This is a highly autonomous leadership role with strong impact on project performance and company expansion.

Responsibilities

• Own the commercial direction for major onshore wind projects in the pre-construction phase
• Lead feasibility, appraisal, budgeting, procurement, contract negotiation and mobilisation
• Oversee commercial due diligence, financial performance and risk management in collaboration with engineering and project teams

Key requirements

• Director-level or equivalent experience in commercial leadership
• Proven track record delivering pre-construction renewable energy projects (feasibility, financial management, contract management, programme delivery)
• Essential onshore wind experience; solar/high voltage experience advantageous
• Desire to own major renewable energy projects within a growing organisation and progress into senior leadership
