Data Analyst – Defence Programme

Overview

In this role, you will transform complex data into actionable insights for a high-profile Defence programme. You’ll work in an agile, multidisciplinary team to build data products and analytical capabilities that inform strategic decisions. You will partner with stakeholders and engineers to structure data, develop dashboards, and advance AI-enabled solutions. Responsibilities

• Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Develop dashboards, reports, and analytical products for evidence-based decision-making
• Elicit and translate business requirements into data-driven solutions
• Define analytical approaches, measures, and success criteria with stakeholders
• Collaborate with data engineers to access and prepare data from multiple sources
• Support development, testing, and validation of analytical models and AI-enabled solutions
• Ensure data quality, consistency, traceability, and proper documentation
• Participate in Agile delivery activities including backlog refinement and sprints
• Present findings to technical and non-technical audiences
• Promote data literacy and knowledge sharing across teams
• Support UX/UI design and implementation across digital tooling

Key requirements

• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Analytics, Statistics, AI, or related discipline
• Experience analysing and interpreting complex datasets
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience using SQL for data extraction and analysis
• Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Understanding of data modelling, structures, and management principles
• Experience working in collaborative, multidisciplinary delivery teams
