Vice President, Data Protection Management and Governance

Overview

In this role you will lead data protection initiatives across the Firm, partnering with business, technology, legal, and compliance teams. You will drive governance programs, define and deliver on projects, and report to senior management on regulatory programs. You’ll shape data protection strategy, develop metrics, and enable data-driven decision making across internal and external data landscapes. Responsibilities

• Define and drive data protection project requirements, milestones, and action items
• Deliver key deliverables and ensure timely execution
• Report progress to senior management with actionable recommendations
• Create presentations and updates for leadership
• Lead and participate in workstream meetings, track actions and minutes
• Analyze data with Excel and analytics tools to support governance and decision making
• Collaborate with LOB/CFs, Technology, Legal, and Compliance to implement data protection and access solutions
• Monitor project status across internal and external data, escalate issues as needed
• Utilize visualization and workflow tools (Qlik/Tableau, Alteryx) to visualize data and processes

Key requirements

• Experience in Data Risk Management, Data Protection, or Data Access Governance
• Strong written and verbal communication to convey complex protection concepts
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Alteryx, Python or similar data integration tools
• Proficiency with Word and PowerPoint; data visualization and reporting capability
• Experience in Agile environments defining product requirements with business units and technology teams
• Project management discipline with ability to deliver under tight timelines
